FAQ

Ad-hoc & block-hour FAQs

What does ad-hoc hourly IT support cost in Houston?+

Senior-engineer time runs $165–$195/hour, with discounted block-of-hours starting at 10 hours. After-hours and emergency rates are published up front — no surprise multipliers on the invoice.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?+

No monthly contract is required. Project minimums are typically 4 hours, and prepaid block-of-hours start at 10 hours and don't expire for 12 months — keep a bank of senior engineering time on hand and use it whenever you need it.

How fast will you respond when something breaks?+

We respond to new requests within 1 business hour from 8a–6p CT. Prepaid block clients get a same-business-day SLA on standard requests, plus after-hours options for emergencies.

What kinds of work can I bring you hourly?+

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace migrations, server refreshes, office moves and buildouts, network upgrades (Meraki, Ubiquiti, Fortinet), MFA and EDR rollouts, Azure/AWS work, and cleanup after acquisitions or staff transitions.

Can you back up our internal IT team?+

Yes. Many Houston companies use our hourly engineers as overflow during hiring gaps, leave, or project crunches — including tier-2 and tier-3 escalation support.

Can we switch to a managed plan later?+

Absolutely. Many clients start ad-hoc and move to a flat-fee Managed IT plan as they grow. There's no penalty for switching, and your block hours carry over.
